45

6 Years, 37 Weeks.

Last Friday was the inauguration of our 45th President…Donald J. Trump.

"The Donald" is now the leader of the free world.

I still can't wrap my head around that thought.

Crazy.

The ceremony had its usual flair and pomp and circumstance.  I was impressed at how the Obamas gracefully bowed out, showing their support and regard for the incoming administration.  No matter how many policies I may have disagreed with the now former president, he was still a good man, and his family life was a great example of what love, acceptance, and tolerance towards others should look like.

You really didn't miss much if you didn't see Trump's oath to office, but in the chance you did miss it, our good friends at BadLipReading put together this amazing collage of the day's events:

The future looks fun already.

Here was our week:

Found a road bike just her size!  And her favorite color too!

Another training ride with Marlissa.

Gorgeous morning to get out with friends.

Sweet Tomatoes for lunch after church.

He loves everything there.

Maddy showing how strong she is while brother tries to tickle her.

Went to the Grodacks to introduce Tux to their dogs.

They enjoyed rolling around the grass and poop.

Calleigh joined us to watch Braelyn play a basketball game and was introduced to her classmates.

Enjoying the game with concessions!

Got fouled so she had to make 2 free throws.

Dribbling the ball down the court.

Brae was so happy Calleigh came!

Doing some "volunteer" work on Tuesday.

It was the PGA merchandise and demo show at Orange County National.

All the biggest golf companies showcasing their newest toys.

The throng of PGA professionals ready to come in and see the vendors.

The extent of my volunteer work.  I ended up just talking to people about golf for a whole day and
received 4 free rounds at Orange County National!

I even got to see Bubba Watson get interviewed!

I was this close!!  Bubba!!

Reading his homework while the Ninja Turtles look on.

Fashion meeting with her dolls.

Hmmm….he's really orange…who does he remind me of…?

Oompa Loompa!

She is Trump's spiritual advisor and the pastor of a church just up the street!

Why does this scene remind me of Trump's "The Apprentice"?  Obama…you're fired!

Looking over the Executive Order…I'll have the Surf 'n Turf...

At the volunteer's orientation, thought I spotted Uncle Jay Loomis!

Guess which group we belong to???

Have a great weekend!!

Back To Normal

6 Years, 36 Weeks.

We are finally back to our regular work and school schedule after a very hectic, action-packed, 3 week company filled Christmas break!

It was a lot of fun, but I'm pooped!

Still trying to catch up on the blog.  Here was our [previous] week:

Maddy woke up Friday morning and pulled out her second loose tooth!

Now we've got a huge gap!

Kohl excited to find his brand new bike, complete with gears, that I scored on Craigslist!

Braelyn making some fresh squeezed Florida orange juice!

Basketball game Saturday night.  We lost to the Lady Warriors, a very mean bunch!

Early Sunday morning, back on the saddle after several month's hiatus.

Helping train Marlissa on her upcoming Tour de Cure ride in a couple of months.

It was nice to be out riding again!

Kohl showing his tickets won at Dave & Buster's.

Monday was MLK Day so they had the day off from school.

Nana took them to her friend's house to use their pool as our community one was closed for the annual refurbish.

Always enjoyable when pizza is involved.

FaceTime saying goodbye to the grandparents as they prepare for their trip to the Philippines.

Twins had a dentist appointment.  Maddy has a couple of cavities that need to be filled.

That prompted me to have them throw away all their candy from Halloween.

But not before a posed picture to show their displeasure!  They were really fine though.

Maddy eating her favorite:  mac & cheese with beans.

Homework at the Science Center on Thursday afternoon.

Supper at Panera before heading back to the school for another game for Brae.

With her teammates.  They won the game!

Kohl's new bike was a steal of a deal, and especially when I saw the original MSRP.
And it's in mint condition!

Finally getting all the ornaments and decorations down and packed away.

Great sunsets this time of the year.

Have a great weekend!!
