Mother's Day: The Moosical

6 Years, 1 Week.


My, my, it's been quite the week!  Counting down the final days until school is out and summer break begins, the past couple of weeks have been jam packed full of activities, class events, and programs!  It's like everyone waited until the last minute to add everything to the calendar!

We celebrated Mother's Day this past week.

I can't say enough about how incredibly blessed we all are to have mothers in our lives, and in particular, our own Mommy.  We are so grateful for her love and commitment to us!  She brings balance and stability into our household, and engages with each of us everyday.  Our lives have been enriched, forever impacted by her grace, generosity, and nurturing spirit.

Thank you Mommy, we love you!!

Here was our [very musical] week:

Friday was "Dress Like Yo' Mama" Day!

Picked up the kids from school and immediately took them on a bike ride around Lake Baldwin.

The enjoyed seeing the monuments and statues at Veteran's Park.

Stopped at Gators for a quick snack!

Receiving the Twins' Mother's Day presents a little early, they were too excited to wait until Sunday!

Braelyn received her Basketball Championship medal and wanted to showcase them to Uncle Mike,
so we took this picture.  Kohl wanted to join in too!

Her goal is to surpass Uncle Mike's trophy count!  It's a good start!

Mommy took the day off on Sabbath and joined several other moms to relax and unwind at the beach.

Meanwhile, we joined the Clarkes and Ottatis at the Jamersons' home for a wonderful Middle Eastern potluck meal!

Some amazing fare, especially the stuffed grape leaves, made by Susie's mom.

Maddy and Isabella enjoyed hanging out together.

Yummy popsicles add to an already fun afternoon!

After the Jamersons we headed over to join the dads and their kids at the Z's home.

They enjoyed spending time together at the pool.

Dads in the kitchen catching up and making supper.

Attended a floor hockey game, played by a ragamuffin group!

Mother's Day morning, we took Mommy to brunch at Winter Garden via bike trail.

We ate at the Winter Garden restaurant aptly named "The Winter Garden Restaurant!"

We all had supper together at Panera near the hospital.

Covering their ears as the Lowe's worker cuts some plywood for a small project Jennifer roped me into.

Kohlden somehow created this "fort bed" mess while 

sister created her own on the opposite side of the room.

Checking out the ducks as we picked up fresh eggs from the farm.

Had a quick bite at an Italian restaurant in College Park before their class play Thursday evening.

They were so excited for the program to begin!  They've been anticipating this moment all month!!

Gave Tangie her bathroom back as part of her gifts for Mother's Day.
I spent 4 hours cleaning and removing any evidence of children just so
she could enjoy a clean bathroom and tub, where she enjoyed a quiet soak and
serene spa experience Friday evening!

On our ride on Sunday, Kohl happened upon a Florida Box tortoise crossing the trail!
