We finally bit the bullet and purchased a digital piano for the kids this week. We had been doing research on what type, style and brand to buy ever since we returned from Denver 2 months ago, the kids mesmerized with Nana's piano and synthesizer there. We settled on a Suzuki mini grand and I was able to pick it up and assemble it (thanks to Jared for being available to help me unload and carry the 225 lb. unit inside!) covering it up with blankets to be discovered by the kids when they came home from school.
Does it look conspicuous?
The kids were delightfully surprised, and look forward to their assigned time to play on the piano every day. Now we have to do some research on scheduling piano lessons, to see how that can match up to our already busy schedules. But at least we can get the ball moving now that we have something for them to practice on.
So bring on the countless hours of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Here's crossing our fingers for a future to Julliard!!

who were sharing their story during our "visit" to their countries.

Mommy was in Atlanta Thursday and Friday, so took them to school in the mornings.

Just all around silly. I guess it was a good day for all.

Kohl: [pipes up] "Yeah, I know…"
Giving hugs to the kids in the car one morning before school, Madelyn gave me a kiss on the cheek. I squeezed her tight:
Me: "Mmmmm. I love you."
Maddy: [looks at me] "I farted."
On our ride home from school:
Kohl: "Daddy, did you know Jesus loves me?"
Me: "Yes! He does."
Kohl: "No, the song 'Jesus loves me this I know."
Me: "Oh yes, I know that song."
Kohl: "Whenever I sing that song it makes me fall asleep like a lullaby."
At Publix grocery shopping with the kids, Braelyn saw a box in the frozen section and pointed it out to me:
Brae: "What is that?"
Me: "Oh, those are perogies."
Brae: "What are those?"
Me: "They are a dish made in Poland."
Kohl: [incredulous] "Kohlden??"
Me: "No…Poland."
Kohl: "Oh, I thought you said Kohlden."
Getting the family t-shirts for the upcoming Orlando City Soccer game, we found a purple t-shirt for Nana:
Me: "What size is Nana, small or medium?"
Brae: "Small."
Me: "Well, the small shirt has a stain on it."
Brae: "Oh yeah. So get the medium."
Maddy: "Yeah. Nana can grow into it."
Picking the twins up from soccer practice:
Maddy: "Daddy, can I go change in the bathroom?"
Me: "Why do you need to go change? We're going straight home."
Maddy: [matter-of-factly] "Because my soccer clothes don't go with my boots."

Me: "So, should we give Braelyn a surprise birthday party?"
