Midnight Oil

4 Years, 26 Weeks.

That's what Tangie's been burning these past couple of weeks.

In the middle of her 3 busiest weeks of the year, she and her team have been crunching year-end numbers for her biggest client, and hopefully will be able to wrap things up by next week.

Hang in there Momma!

It's like she's away on an extended business trip, even though she's only 40 minutes away on the other side of town.  She leaves in the morning to take Brae to school on her way to work, and slips home unnoticed in the wee hours.  The only remnants of proof that she's been home are the empty coffee mugs in the sink we find when we come downstairs for breakfast.  I don't think Maddy has seen her since Saturday evening.

In the meantime, I'm holding the fort down, taking care of the children and prepping for their daily schedules, completing projects around the house, and continuing to acquire new clients for work.  I've tried to make sure that Mommy can just focus on her work, and not worry about anything else on the home front.  I also send her a daily photo of the kids's smiling faces to give her something to look forward to each day.

From the pool on Sunday...

To the Science Center on Tuesday...

To the library on Wednesday!

We've kept ourselves busy, which has made the past 2 weeks fly by, which is a good thing!

Here was our week:

Friday evening had the Grodacks and Ottati's over for supper via fire pit roast.

Had the opportunity for a date night with the Mrs. on Saturday night,

Thanks to my cousin and his girlfriend for volunteering and watching the kids for us!

Brae working on her soccer dribbling.

Kohl and

Maddy hanging out on the slide.

Couldn't pass up a beautiful day on Sunday to hit the pool.  The water was actually chilly!

What time is it?  We beat the Jets 31-17.

At the Grodacks, Corey sets out make homemade donuts, with a lot of eager helpers!

She brought over the finished product the following day, much to the kids' delight!

Kohl learning how to change a tire at OSC.

The gift shop is a lot more fun to hang out at!

Showing their new school shoes:  Princess (of course) for Maddy, and Cars for Kohl.

Beautiful afternoon, we did our homework outside.

Family school night to benefit OJA!

With classmate Alyssa, both mirroring the same missing front teeth!

Thrilled to have won so many tickets...

until Maddy came around the corner with hers!

Another beautiful evening called for supper al fresco.

Our beautiful butterfly tree...

Uprooted and fell over due to the

cold front that came barreling through on Tuesday, causing a

cheese outage at Publix??

Parked right next to this van at OSC, with a lot of family members including

3 SETS OF TWINS!!!  (We saw them inside)

That's it for now.  Have a great weekend!
