The secret of the fox, ancient mystery
Somewhere deep in the woods, I know you're hiding
What is your sound? Will we ever know
Will always be a mystery, what do you say?
You're my guardian angel, hiding in the woods
-- Ylvis, Sept. 2013
Who would've ever guessed she'd want to become a fox for Halloween this year?
Inspired by YouTube's mega hit viral video made by two brothers from Norway, What Does The Fox Say? has over 177 MILLION views and counting, since it's upload a mere 2 months ago! Strange and quirky at first glance, the childish lyrics and captivating rhythm pulls you in, until you catch yourself wondering:
"What does a fox really say??"
Here's the music video sensation from YouTube in case you missed it.
So, this song has become an instant hit in our household, thus giving Braelyn the idea that she wanted to be "THE Fox", as opposed to a regular fox. Of course, no one had a fox costume small enough to fit a 6 year old girl, so after surfing Pinterest Tangie gave herself the task of creating Brae's outfit out of some fabric and glue. A nice little project outside of work, the result turning out very well. Very well indeed!

| Metamorphosis! |
Here was our week:
- Sabbath we attended church, the highlight being Braelyn pulling her second baby tooth out en route! She had been playing and loosening it up over the past 3 weeks and it finally popped out in her hand. We had lunch at Sweet Tomatoes and then headed home for family time in the kitchen, i.e. Mommy baking some delicious and healthy pumpkin cookies! We enjoyed the gorgeous afternoon outside in the backyard, and then had the Johnson's over for dinner. Actually, if they provided the food (Indian!) would it technically be that they had us over for dinner? Originally it was planned to have supper at their home the Friday we got back from Denver, but then I got sick so that fell through. But we were finally able to get an open date on the calendar to reschedule. It was so great to see them and hang out for a couple of hours, even though we were constantly barraged with kids needing this and wanting that. We hadn't seen them in a while, and even then its usually in a large group setting, so it was really nice to just chat and catch up with them.

- Sunday I had the day off...from the kids. Tangie took them to FLEC's fall festival for the day, and then shopping afterwards. I, meanwhile, stayed home to work on the lawn and yard; the beautiful weather allowed me to work non-stop for 7 hours without distraction. Afterwards Bruce and his son Blake came over to watch the Denver/Washington game in the afternoon. They were both rooting for Washington. So we had a fun bet: If the Broncos beat the Redskins then they would have to wear some Denver paraphernalia and have their picture posted on Facebook. As Bears fans, that would be real hard to swallow. Guess what? Denver won!
