Save The Tatas

6 Years, 24 Weeks.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and this week OJA was all about creating support and awareness for a cure, celebrating "Pink Week".  Each day held a different event, and though it was more fun for the kids to get fun prizes and treats, it helped to teach them know what the pink ribbons were all about, having seen them and the color pink being worn everywhere, on TV and especially by professional athletes during their games.  It's important we continue to support women and their health!

Showing their pink tattoos in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

Pink is not just a color.  Stay strong!

Here was our week:

The girls finish gymnastics.  Brae looks spent after a long week!

Swung by the farm to pick up eggs.  Said hello to the pig.

And the new cow.

Waiting for our table at the Olive Garden for supper.  The girls continue to read.

Maddy enjoying her spaghetti!

Kohl saw this car and thought it was the Bat mobile.

Quick 20 mile bike ride early Sabbath morning.

The family at church.

We attended a potluck at the Jamersons in Sanford for Jeremy's birthday.

The kids enjoyed popsicles before

enjoying their pool!

Catching up on their tablets on Sunday.

Back to the grind.  Working on homework.

Maddy working on her reading homework online.

Making birthday cards for Papa, his birthday was this past Monday!

Ravioli and garlic finger potatoes!

The kids attended the ribbon cutting for Matthews Park, right next to the school, with
Orlando city Mayor Buddy Dyer making opening remarks.

They got to play in it afterwards!

Kohl enjoying the new park features.

Sending out Papa's cards.

He left me a nice selfie on my phone.

A quick trip to Costco.  They don't quite fit as easily in the cart anymore.

Here's a flashback.

We made nachos and quesadillas for supper one evening.

More reading in random places.

Finishing up her math homework.

Working on a science experiment outside.

A daddy sandwich!

Quote:

  • Kohlden was practicing his memory verse after school on Monday:
Kohl:  "I am with you, and I will protect you everywhere you go.  Problems 3:1"
      Brae:  "You mean Proverbs?"
      Maddy:  "No!  It's in Genesis!!"

No problem here!

Have a great weekend!!
