Happy Birthday!

6 Years, 5 Weeks.

We celebrated Mommy's birthday this past week!  The kids were so excited to celebrate with her and to help in the unwrapping of her gifts.  We celebrated her for several nights, although technically we would all celebrate her birthday for the entire month of June, but more so during the week of her actual birthday.  We even baked her favorite carrot cake!!

In the meantime, we continue to keep busy with summer vacation and activities.  The weather is stifling and hot, which kind of limits our activities to some things indoors, or late afternoon/early evenings, which is during the time storms usually come around.  And it's only going to get worse!

Here was our week:

Consolidating their tickets from chores to turn in for prizes!

Standing up for the Pledge of Allegiance for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Hooked up with the Grodacks at the pool.

Everyone was pooped at the end of a busy week!

Even Tux found a very comfortable spot.

Admiring our backyard as we explored the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive.

Mommy getting her steps in, she opted to walk for half a mile or so in the afternoon heat!

Maddy getting some driving lessons.

The speed limit was only 10 mph so we were able to have the kids walk around the car during the tour.

Kohlden getting his shot at the wheel.

Maddy enjoys her comfy chair.

Mommy cut up some watermelon to enjoy during the ride.

Sunday we attended Blake's football birthday party!  They looked like mean football players!

The crew ready to play some flag football.

Duncan played QB for both teams, as Bruce was the referee.

Kohlden protecting the quarterback!

Mommy and Maddy chose to enjoy the game in the shade.

Swung by Old Navy to get some fun summer apparel.

Trying out a new Indian place in Orlando.  Great flavor and the prices even better!

Opening her gifts, including this reading lamp from Papa and Nana.

Her new toy!  Coffee will never be the same, sadly.

Reading her birthday cards, getting all emotional!

Receiving birthday well wishes from the grandparents and family in Washington state.

Cleaning and reorganizing her room.

Checking out more books from the library.  Look at the chapter books in Braelyn's arms!
She's been averaging reading a book per day!

Bergherms came over for supper on Tuesday and London decided to check out Tux's crate.

He was happy to have a playmate that walked on all fours too.

Giving Black Beauty a bath.

Preparing their own breakfast!

Found her in her room like this.  Awesome.

Practicing her layups.

Mommy working on leveling Maddy's bangs.  They're growing back!!

Late night watching Game 2.

Have a great weekend!!

A nice play on the Whip & Nae Nae song!

  1. I think Mommy has a new profession in the making. Go Tangie, please take over the hair job, my hands and shoulders are wearing out on me! It looks like a fun week to me. Love to you all, Nana
