Tangie turned the big Four-Oh on Saturday, and then Lolo and Lala celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Monday!
It's crazy to think about how long 40 years truly is ~ both to live it, and to be married to someone for that long. What a feat!
A big congrats to the celebrants, as they begin another decade of life, and love.
To celebrate Tangie's birthday, the grandparents took the kids to Avon Park for the weekend starting the Wednesday after the twins' graduation. That gave us a couple of days before the weekend to get some projects done, namely, cleaning the carpets. You'll remember we had guys come and stretch out the bubbling last week. Anyway, we I decided to rent a machine to clean the carpet myself, after an exorbitant estimate was given to me by some professional company I had over to measure the areas needing to be clean, i.e. the whole entire house. Needless to say, we saved a bunch of money by doing it ourselves, with only a tweaked back the following day as repercussion. Still, we were able to enjoy some peace and quiet as we celebrated Tangie's birthday. Thank you Lolo and Lala for taking the children for us!

Discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant in historic Mount Dora.
This was the entrance to the hidden garden.
Named after a 19th Century poem, the Goblin Market is an
amazing restaurant with some fantastic fare,including this appetizer,
tempura artichoke with sweet honey mustard and micro greens.

Heading out for our dinner date to Disney.
The restaurant was Narcoosee's, at the Grand Floridian resort. It overlooked the water and
we had great window seats to see the lights and fireworks over the Magic Kingdom!

Early Sunday morning joined Duncan on our usual bike ride around town.

Meanwhile, Tangie takes a breather while enjoying a 3 and a half hour
spa session at the Marriott World Center!

Drove down to Avon Park to pick up the children. They enjoyed their time with the grandparents.
Maddy was very happy to go home and see Mommy.

Eating lunch while we were there. We had dropped the van off at the dealership
to fix the key module which was being recalled, so we had Mommy's car
after we dropped her off at work. We stayed at the museum for 4 hours
until they called when the van was ready.

Not obeying Daddy, or being mean to his sister(s) meant having to sit out for 5 minutes before being
able to get in the pool. Not fun.
Finally, we're all in. But there's a big storm approaching so we need to hurry up and play before the rains come!
