Graduation!

5 Years, 7 Years.

A taste of things to come, we celebrated the twins graduating from Pre-K this week.  REALLY?!?

Kindergarten here we come!

But first, we'll enjoy summer break.

I can't believe the twins are finished with Pre-K.  This blog should be renamed, I Can't Believe, because its about all the stuff that's happening so quickly, I can't believe it!

Congrats to Kohlden and Madelyn on a job well done!

Here was our week.

Picked up Gaby to take to school with us on Friday.

Breakfast at the park.

Kohl fell asleep with Mommy on the recliner.

Having lunch at the new Marketplace in Winter Garden.

Met up with the crew at Bonnet Creek to celebrate the Bergherm boys' and Brady's birthday.

The families represented by our children.  That's a lot of kids!

Kohlden wiped out.

Met up with the crew again at Animal Kingdom to continue the birthday celebrations.

Kohlden got soaked!!

Our raft coming back in.  Thumbs up for a great ride!

All of us on the Kilimanjaro Safari.

Enjoying his frozen treat!

Speaking of frozen treats, the girls left early from Animal Kingdom to attend an
ice skating party for Adalyn's birthday at the RDV.

Braelyn loved it!

Maddy and Isabella with the birthday girl.

Getting their summer hairstyles.  Brae decided to chop hers off!

Maddy getting her hair washed, she only had a couple inches taken off.

Cleaning out Cheddar's hutch.  It was a breeze!

Coming home from school with her art project.

Dentist appointment Tuesday morning.  Ironic they had a gum ball machine there,
but they were only rubber balls and not the candy!

All good to report, next check-up in 6 months!

Met up with the Grodacks and Reeves at Magnolia for a quick play and
lunch, before heading to OJA for the twins' testing and assessment.

Ready for graduation!!

The family sitting together, Lolo and Lala came up to attend.

Selfies with Lala!

Marching in to Pomp & Circumstance.

We did it!

Lala taking pictures of her grand twins.

The three amigos.  It was fun having Gaby as a classmate.

Opening up their gifts at home.

Final day of school on Wednesday!

Last day means class party!

With cupcakes!

Saying goodbye to a very emotional Mrs. Danesh.  She was such a great teacher for them!

Last hug for Ms. Amber.  We'll miss them!

Officially on summer break!

And immediately they head over to Avon Park with the grandparents for the weekend!

Met up with the Grodacks and Reeves for dinner in Winter Garden.
It was great to have the 3 couples together to catch up.

Pretending we had our kids with us!

Projects:

1.  Carpet Stretching

After 7 years, our carpets looking terrible and bubbling up.

The upstairs hallway,

twins' room,

and Braelyn's room.

Brought in some carpet repair guys to stretch it out.

Afterwards, the master bedroom,

hallway,

twins' room.

2.  Artificial Turf:  Over a 3 week process.

Our old putting green, looking cracked, faded, and gross.  Our friend Pablo who works
at Rollins College tells me there's a 20x15 sq ft piece of professional grade artificial turf that
the college needed to get rid of.  We end up buying it for a steal of a deal!

Ripping up the old turf and getting it ready for trash pickup.

Had 2 cubic yards of sand delivered to level the area out.

Buddy helping to distribute the sand.

Memorial Day, Pablo delivers the turf.  It is filled with a sand and dirt mixture, and is
incredibly heavy, especially after the rain the night before.  Duncan even tried to help
slide it down from on top of the truck!

4 guys and we couldn't budge it.  It weighed close to 2000 lbs!

Ordered another 3 cubic yards of sand to level out the surrounding area,
the turf was 300 square feet!

Glad to help!  It was more about digging and playing with the sand!

Covered the area up with a tarp as storms were approaching and I knew the turf
would be heavier if it got wet.

Was able to coordinate 9 friends to come over Monday evening to do the final push and rollout.
We still needed Cy's truck to help maneuver and straighten the roll out!

Push men, push!!

Pull men, pull!

Grateful for such good friends and neighbors willing to lend a hand!  Thanks guys!!

A little grooming everyday, the project is coming together nicely!

Randoms:

She missed doing gymnastics, so...

Kohlden hiding from Mommy while we waited for her at Publix!

Spotted a hidden Mickey in this operating room for animals.

Gorgeous sunsets amidst evening storm clouds.

  • Heading to church on Sabbath:
Kohlden:  "I love Sabbath because I love Jesus, and Mommy,
                            and Daddy…and even Santa Claus."

          Hmmm….

Have a great weekend!!

  1. The twins looked cute in their caps and gowns. I've got to know what gave you the idea to do a new golfing green?
It looked like a lot of work, oh to be young again!!
