Go Packers!!

4 Years, 39 Weeks.

From the title you've probably deduced that the Broncos are no longer playing football.

Yes, that's right.  Another season squandered.  Eliminated from the playoffs yet again, coming back from a restful bye week and favored to win in front of the home crowd, we did exactly the opposite, which is suffice to say, we never even showed up to play, losing to the Colts 24-13.  It was painful.  And very, very ugly.

So ugly in fact, that the following day the Broncos "fired" our head coach,  John Fox.  I put fired into quotes because the media said they had "mutually agreed to part ways" which in essence meant that Elway said, "You're done" and Fox replied, "But I'm still going to get paid?"  wherein Elway nods and Fox heads out the door.   But don't feel sorry for him; he landed the head coaching gig for the Chicago Bears 4 days later.  And then we lose defensive coordinator Del Rio as he takes the head coaching job for the Oakland Raiders, who are in our division!  Plus we don't even know if Peyton is going to be back as our quarterback next year!  Oh, the drama!

But…in Elway we trust.  I'm sure he's masterminding a beautiful outcome to this crazy start to the off season.  We just need to sit back, relax and watch the show.

In the meantime, we are now Packer fans, rooting for the yellow and green to win it all.  Because, let's face it, we would rather sit on a flu-laced hypodermic needles before cheering for the Seahawks, the Colts, and that other team.

Ah well, here's looking forward to next season!

Here was our week:

Helping Daddy clean the third car garage in an attempt to make it a little more organized.

A beautiful day at church.  Looks like the sun was in their eyes.

At the Magic Kingdom that evening, participating in the Belle Encounter.

Meeting Belle and getting some bookmarks.

Trading pins with some of the cast members, a fun activity for the kids.

Early morning ride with the guys, including Jack McClarty who had arrived from TN at 5:30 that morning!

Quick photo op in Winter Garden.

It was great to hit the road again after a few months respite.

Maddy rooting on the our team, alas, we needed more than a lucky charm.

Feeling a little blue on Monday after the previous night's loss.

Had the Ottatis and Putts over for dinner Monday evening to catch up with the McClartys.

Jack and I with some of our kids before they left.

We joined Orange County's Origami Club, which meets on Thursday afternoons.

Making a delicious pastry filled with yummy goodness.

Cool weather came through this week, which meant overcast skies and bundling up.

Picked up our friend Autumn from gymnastics with Brae.

  1. What beautiful OLD children you have!! Just think, none of us will ever see them that old. The make-up is very realistic. They even have droopy jowls. Good job! Thanks for sharing, love Nana
