4 Years, 1 Week.
This past week will undoubtedly come down as one of the busiest for us so far this year.
But what else is new? Due to the fact that Easter was a bit late and landed on the same weekend as the twins' birthday it made for an eventful and event-filled couple of days. In a word it was NON-STOP. Even better: EXHAUSTING. But I guess we wouldn't have it any other way.
Before I continue, let me just say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Maddy and Kohl! I can't believe we've had the twins for 4 years now. I know I keep saying that it's a whirlwind and a blur each year, but especially more so this past year, as they have grown and developed in leaps and bounds. We can't imagine life without them and are grateful for all the joy, love, laughter, and [dear Lord]
all the hard work they bring to the table each and every day!
We love you guys!!
Here is a quick timeline of our jam packed weekend:
 |
Bathtime! (Braelyn had Good Friday off of school)
They spent an hour in the tub while I ironed 3 different sets of clothes
for each kid for the entire weekend. |
 |
Made our trip to Costco for weekend fare. Bumped into some familiar faces. |
 |
Swung by our local blueberry farm to pick some berries for the salad
we were going to make for the birthday party. |
 |
The rain deterred plans to meet everyone for dinner at the Food Trucks
so Corey graciously invited us over for a quick supper of haystacks! |
 |
Buddy wanted to help with birthday prep instead of going to bed,
so I had him fill up with water cooler. |
 |
Stats from my Sabbath morning ride with Duncan, Karis, and others.
A grueling morning, got dropped a couple of times, once getting help from neighbor
Jon who came to push me back into the pack, only to have him crash
and split his elbow, which required him getting 8 stitches! |
