3 Years, 39 Weeks.
Vacation is officially over.
Nana left for Denver on Tuesday, leaving us back to our regular schedules. Back to the daily grind.
It has been a whirlwind 3 weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed having the grandparents over for the holidays, and sharing lots of love and laughter with them.
We're looking forward to next time!

A nice guy, actually, we chatted the whole time at the red light about the upcoming game. |

Quotes:
- Listening to the radio on our way to pick Brae up from school on Friday, the song "Say what you need to say" by John Mayer was on:
Maddy: [from the backseat] "Daddy, what is the name of this song?"
Me: "Say what you need to say."
Maddy: "What?"
Me: "Say what you need to say!"
Maddy: "I can't hear you!"
- The twins taking a bubble bath one morning. After laughing and splashing around, it all of a sudden got quiet. Peering over, they were both intently looking at something in the water:
Me: "What are you guys doing?"
Maddy: "Nothing."
Me: "Are you listening to the bubbles?"
Maddy: "No."
Me: "So what are you doing?"
Kohl: "Looking at my boat."
Me: "What is your boat doing?"
Maddy: "Kohlden's boat is dying."
Sinking, to be exact.
- I was putting together the elliptical/recumbent bike exercise machine in our room and realized I had made an error in one of the assembly steps. Seeing my mistake on the instructions:
Me: [gasp] "Oh...no..."
Kohl: "What Daddy? What is it?"
Me: [in disgust] "That...stinks!"
Kohl: [goes to machine and smells it] "Ugh. Yucky."
- Maddy and Kohl were doing crafts on some construction paper, and she approached me with some double-sided sticky tape to put on them:
Me: "Where are you going to put this up, Maddy?"
Maddy: [matter of factly] "On the wall...of course!"
Have a great weekend!
Oh, Nana had to go home so soon. But I was sure glad to be able to stay the extra week. Enjoyed looking at the pictures as usual. Love you all!
