Super Bowl Week

3 Years, 41 Weeks.

I've been enjoying all the Super Bowl coverage on ESPN and the NFL Network this whole week.

3 more days!!!

I'm so excited...

But more nervous than anything!

Here was our week:

Brae getting instructions on learning the next element to their routine.

Working on her handstand.

Twins on their bikes.

Went to Cracker Barrel for supper.

Brae and Mommy doing an activity as we wait for our food.

Brae and I having FaceTime with Uncle Mike and Preston.

Watching a Sabbath movie while they wait for the parents to get ready.

The line to get into Blue Springs State Park was 30 minutes long!

Lots of nature around: a heron, alligator, and manatee all in this picture.

Mommy and Maddy enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Lots of manatees during this time of year ~ 296 that day alone.

Working on creating a manatee craft.

Crystal clear water allowed us to see the peaceful animals slowly swim by.

Found a picture of Tangie and I at Blue Springs back in 2001.

At the same tree, 13 years later.

Maddy devours her lunch at Carmelo's Italian restaurant in Longwood.

Looks like the food has kicked in!

Brae and I on our bike ride Sunday morning.
She would experience a major crash a couple miles later.
After a few tears she hopped back on and rode all the way back home, I was so proud of her!

The Clarkes joined us for the Pre-K Round Up at OJA.

Naps enroute to Avon Park to drop the twins off for a mini vacay.

Brae and I giving hugs to Maddy and Kohl before heading out.

We had an old classmate and his family stay with us Sunday evening through Tuesday.
On Monday he and I hit the sticks and played Dubsdread near downtown.

Our games were a little deflated, much like the tire on our golf cart.

The McClarty's at the ice cream shop in Winter Garden, after having Thai at the restaurant next door.

Quick FaceTime with the twins to wish them goodnight.

Visited some bike shops after school on Tuesday.  Here she found what she wanted for her birthday.

I appeased her by getting some riding gloves for her.  She wanted to wear them everywhere!

A frozen yogurt treat!

Swung by the Grodacks to bike around and to work on my new bike I am buying from Duncan.
Corey was so kind in inviting us to stay for a delicious homemade supper!

Heading to her play date, we brought flowers as a hostess gift for Alyssa's mom.

With her classmate Alyssa.  The girls were so excited.

A group shot of some of the girls there when I came back to pick Brae up.
There were 12 in total at one time.

So glad she's able to do fun things with her classmates.

One last hurrah, an afternoon matinee to see The Nut Job.

Meanwhile, back in Avon Park:  Kohl and Maddy with their great-grandparents on Lala's side.

Riding their bikes around Lake Olivia.

Visited a beach on Lake Verona.

A chillier day, feeding the birds out on the lake again.

Playing footsies with Lala and Auntie Mari.
She was in town from Seattle for a conference and was able to hang out with the twins.
It was great to see you Aunti Mari!

Coming back home, all smiles.

Until he realized Lolo and Lala weren't staying with us.

Thank you Lolo and Lala for having them!  They had a great time!
Checking out some bikes while I made a return at the bike shop.

Randoms:

Maddy's rendition of her on Daddy's shoulders!

Temperature ranges throughout the country this week.

Strange weather here too.  One day beautiful and 80ยบ...
Awful the next day.  And it did feel like it says it did.

The high on Wednesday, made me have to use our seat warmers!  I'm such a wimp.

I asked Siri to call "Tangie Isidro" and this is what she came up with.  Wow...

Quotes:

  • Driving back to Orlando from dropping the twins off in Avon Park, and happened upon a beautiful rainbow:
Brae:  "Daddy, did you know that if you follow a rainbow to its end, you
                     will find the treasure."
Me:  [sounding skeptical] "Really?  I don't know..."
Brae:  "Yup.  That's what the legend says!"

          What legend??

  • Brae was very excited to go to Alyssa's house for their play date on Wednesday:
Me:  "So, who else is going?"
Brae:  "Emma and Sydney and my classmates..."
Me:  "I see.  How many are going to be there?"
          Brae:  "I don't know...if they can drive?"

Have a great weekend!  Go Broncos!!
