It’s Thursday again?

Well...actually Friday now.  The time escapes.

Week 45.5
Kohlden - 18.12 lbs
Madelyn - 17.12 lbs
My o my, the weeks sure do fly by.  As Allen commented last week, Maddy became sick again – so I called in the back up care and after a call at 7am, and per my special request we had Ms. Sonia here by 8:30a so I could go to work.  It was so fantastic that she was even available.  We’ve been able to survive without utilizing them since last October when we had the stomach bug going around (I think I have 12 days of benefit where I just have to pay co-pay, so trying not to over use as that’s an extra expense while still paying for daycare that’s going unused).  Maddy did great with her all day and her fever had started to come down with the antibiotics kicking in.

Friday night we had Uncle Mike, Lolo and Lala along with Jared, Marlissa and baby Isabella over for some hamburgers.  While the babies were getting to know each other, Kohlden was trying to get between two pieces of furniture with his army crawl and Maddy was on the other side.  She would not let him get through.  It was a red light; a straight arm to his head to stop him, then he started bawling.  As soon as I picked him up to comfort him and then turned to tell her to be nice to her brother, she started bawling as well.  Yes…the reason we don’t let them stay up too late…they get a little emotional.  Off to bed they went.  We enjoyed a nice dinner outside with Isabella doing fantastic even though it was getting late.  She’s 6 weeks younger than the twins, but almost the same size.

Saturday was a gorgeous day and after church, with just Allen and I taking Braelyn (Lolo and Lala stayed behind with the babies so they could catch up on some sleep to get rid of the sickies), we had lunch outside for some nice fresh air.  That evening the crew went shopping while Lala and I put the babies down.   A movie was then had by all, as I got some extra hours of work in.

Sunday Lolo and Lala stayed with the twins while Allen worked and I went to Panera for a couple hours to get some work done. They played outside for a bit.

I arrived home to ALL 3 children taking their nap.  They got Brae down by 11a.  Amazing.  As we had to go to a birthday party at 1, we needed everyone to be rested. We did the exchange and they went off to home.  It was Lindsay’s 5th and Ethan’s 3rd Birthday party at the RDV center.  Braelyn got to do some swimming while I sat with the twins on the sidelines, trying to keep Kohlden from wanting to crawl towards her.  Next is off to bouncy house and gym games.  I tucked the stroller in a corner and let Maddy and Kohl have some space to crawl around a bit while Brae got to play with the kids and run around and I chatted witht he other moms.  It was fun had by all…until we had to get our long stroller up a dumbwaiter elevator with a pregnant worker.  Let’s say it was a tight squeeze.  Brae and I took the stairs and met them at the top.  We were exhausted afterward, but with Braelyn getting in an early nap, she did very well.  We got to play outside when we got home and wait for Daddy to arrive back from work.

Monday arrived with the kids off to school again. Cough’s still had by the twins, but overall not doing too bad.  Got a call to come pick up Kohl early as he had thrown up a few times.  I was actually glad he was doing it as it got the yuckies out, but guess they didn’t like the clean up.  Luckily through discussions with the owner, we were able to bring him the next day and avoid their 24 hr out rule.  I am on a new client now which is right at Cape Canaveral where the cruise ships are.  Have been driving back n forth a couple days a week.  It is neat to pass by the cruise ships but wish I could be on one.  Don’t think I could work out there full time. Would make me want to play instead.

Back to the grind with trying to get projects done and work and hope daycare doesn’t call to have one of the kids picked up.  They are getting bigger all the time and we enjoy the time on the weekends where we get to watch them develop more and more.

Yes, there is a cord there we need to take care of.  She thought she could make it through to the other side, but got stuck. More baby proofing here we come.

  1. We enjoy the blog whenever available. When no update, we just go back and review the one before just like tonight! Amazing how the kids are growing fast. Dad says these three will be good buddies when they grow up. MOM
