We spent the last few days reacclimatizing back to sea level and our regular time zone. The kids are still two hours behind and being on summer vacation makes for some late nights and sleeping in in the mornings. Recuperating from non-stop activities the week prior in Colorado, and getting accustomed to the heat and humidity made this a catch-up week.
Here are the pictures:
We picked up Tux on Sunday afternoon, he had stayed with Jenice and Katherine while we were gone.
Needless to say, a very happy girl.
But then we remembered our good friends and neighbors the Ottatis were moving away.
Then it was very sad.
So what do you when you're sad? Go shopping! But not buying.
On Wednesday we were invited over to the twins' teacher's home for lunch.
They made a nice spread for us!
After lunch we picked our own eggs from their chicken coop. They have over 100 chickens!
Love getting farm fresh eggs!
We were able to hold some too.
This one had a nice speckled gold color.
Everyone's favorite, Betty the chicken.
It was so nice to see Mrs. Jamieson and Baby Harper.
Thursday we drove down to Avon Park to spend the afternoon with Lolo and Lala and some relatives from Washington state that were in town visiting the great grandparents.
Selfies in the van.
Playing ukeleles and catching up at Auntie Esther's house.
Hanging out with Cousin Yrah from Washington.
Great grandma Fernandez giving Maddy a bit of some cake!
Enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the drive home.
Have a great weekend!!
