This past weekend gave me the opportunity to live out my life long fantasy of being a stuntman on a real live movie set.
Okay, not really. More like an extra on a live Disney show, but does it really matter?
I was famous!!
Selfie on the set!
Tangie and I had taken the kids to Hollywood Studios for the morning on Sunday, and had fast passes to the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular show, one that we had seen countless times. They get audience members to come out and participate as extras on the show, and make them a part of the action, so I started jumping up and down, trying to get the casting director's attention, much to the embarrassment of the kids.
And that's when it happened. She pointed at me and said, "You, with the Broncos shirt." And I knew my time had come. All of a sudden the kids became nervous for me, as I quickly made my way down to the front. I took some time and just soaked it all in, the gleaming lights and the 1000 pairs of eyes fixated in my direction. This was going to be fun.
We signed waivers and got into our costumes, and then followed the casting director's lead as we were given positions and direction on what to do, where to go, etc. Like I said, I had scene (see what I did there?) the show many times before, so I knew what was coming, but I did my best to ham it up as much as possible without obnoxiously overdoing it and getting us kicked out of the park. It was neat to be on the ground level where all the action was, dodging bullets and ducking for cover during the explosions! And for a moment, I felt like an action movie star. Eat your heart out Harrison Ford!!
Lined up and in our costumes.
I am the second one from the left at the beginning!
Group shot after all the action!
And that's a wrap folks!

Leaving Epcot, about to get on the tram:
Kohl: "Daddy, when can I get a Disney credit card?"
Me: "When you have a job."
Kohl: "I do have a job!"
Me: "You do? What is it?"
Kohl: "My job is to love Daddy and tell him he's the best!!"
