Spring Break!

3 Years, 46 Weeks.


I don't know if you would necessarily call it a "break" (at least for me it wasn't!), although Braelyn didn't have to attend school at all this past week.

It's been non-stop action, including a short 2 night stay at Lolo and Lala's in Avon Park.

Hopefully we'll be able to catch up on some rest over the weekend.  But chances are, probably not.

Here was our week:

School out at noon last Friday.  Happy to be on vacation!

Picking up some supplies in Walmart, happened on some Frozen paraphernalia.
They are into all things Frozen...including pizza.

Maddy content to plop down anywhere and read.

We had the Grodacks over to meet our new neighbors, the Neumans,
who moved in 3 houses up, this past December.
A very nice family, they have 6 kids ages 10 to 1.5.  A nice addition to our neighborhood friends.

Took the girls out for a bike ride after riding 20 miles myself.

with these two from 5 years ago!  Well, except maybe their cheeks...

We were invited to supper at the Grodacks

along with the Ottatis.  It was great to catch up with everyone!  Thanks for the hospitality Corey!

Bright and early Sunday morning, Duncan picked me up for a grueling bike ride

into the hills of Clermont,

including the notorious Sugarloaf Mountain.

35 miles later and still smiling!

Took the kids to the Winter Garden splash park in the afternoon.

I accompanied Lala to visit Grandma Isidro at the nursing home, recovering from her stroke.
She has been suffering from diabetes and dementia for several years now, and doesn't recognize us.
Still, it was comforting to see how tender loving and caring my mom was to her mother-in-law, as she
visits and assists with feeding her dinner every evening.  The true definition of caregiver. 

It was great to have the chance to visit and spend some time with her.

where I had Brae test out some bikes to see what her next one would be for her upcoming birthday.
