All By Myself

3 Years, 14 Weeks.

Tangie was in Washington D.C.  this whole week for an audit job, which left me with the kids all by myself since Sunday evening.  She gets back Friday evening and I cannot wait!

I'm exhausted.  No, bone tired.

So you'll forgive me for this short post and just let the pictures do the talking.

Food trucks was supposed to be dinner plans Friday evening, but...

So we hooked up with the Grodacks at Tijuana Flats!

Maddy chose to have twins in at Sabbath School.

Sitting with pal Adalyn during story time.

With Mommy at our favorite Indian restaurant, Kohinoor.

Surprised to find Adalyn and her family there as well!

Harvesting and

eating our cherry tomatoes.

Maddy helps to clean up the mixing spoon from Mommy's chocolate cake she was baking.

Enjoying the end result!

Sunday morning putting up a shade sail in the pergola to replace the one damaged by storms last year.

Enjoying a joint pool birthday party at the Cochran's for Devin and Addison Z., both turning 1.

The twins enjoy floating around.

Time for welcome and food.

Crab croissant sandwiches!

The paparazzi prepare for the cakes!

Devin reaches for Addison's smash cake.

She did a pretty good job!  What a mess!

Trip to the park.

Follow the leader.

Frozen yogurt to cool off.

Maddy and her peanut butter.

My cousins Patrick and Lyka came up to visit from Avon Park.

The kids enjoyed swimming with her.

Mailing out some packages of  items sold on eBay.

She wanted to pretend she worked at the Post Office, hence wearing her postal vest.

Hipster.

Gardener.

Rapper.

Tangie's pictures from DC:

The Washington Monument illuminated at night.

A gps track of her walk from the hotel to the office.  It looked like she was walking a bit erratic!

View from her office.

The National Mall and Capitol building.

The White House.

Still white at night!

Garden Update:

White eggplant.

Sweet peppers.

Cherry tomatoes.

Muscadine grapes.

Brae's sunflowers from her garden.

Harvesting sunflowers and heirloom carrots.

So cute.  And delicious.  Braelyn ate them all!

Food:

Nothing beats good Indian food!

Sautéed salmon with garden herbs.

Randoms:

Last Friday found out our neighbor 2 houses down had passed away.
Lots of police cars, the Medical Examiner and the County Coroner's vans.
I didn't realize what was happening until I saw them wheel the body bag out on the  gurney.

Another gps track of Tangie walking around at Reagan Int'l Airport.

Hunting Japanese beetles from our Catawba grape vine.
I must have smushed at least 4 dozen!

Quote:

  • Text message from Brae to Mommy from her iPod:

  • Hugging Madelyn after giving the kids their baths before bedtime:
Me:  [to Maddy]  "You smell delicious."
          Maddy:  "Like peanut butter?"

Have a great week!
