3 More Weeks!

4 Years, 14 Weeks.

I know, I've already started counting down the time remaining until school begins.

Pretty sad.

But I'm pooped!  Spending THE ENTIRE DAY with all 3 IS EXHAUSTING!  (Props to Corey and Ashley for doing it with even more kids!)

It's been a crazy busy summer, and again, this week was no exception.  We've been working hard on some projects around the house, trying to keep the kids enlightened and entertained, and continued working on strengthening their swimming from their lessons last week.

All in all, a good week.

Here are the pics:

Lolo and Lala came up to see Uncle Mike for lunch on Friday so we joined them at Sweet Tomatoes.

It was nice to get the family together, if but for just an hour.

Swinging by Lowe's to get dry wall for a home project.

The kids just hanging around.

At Sabbath School with Aunt Marlissa teaching.

I helped out in a sketch playing Priest Eli when God called Samuel in his sleep,
but it looked like I had passed out on the floor!

Lunch with the Clarkes before we all headed to New Smyrna Beach.

Apparently Maddy didn't want to be seen.

Just a beautiful day to spend with friends.

He was so intent on covering himself with sand, one handful at a time.

Making tracks on the sand.

Went on a 40 mile ride with Duncan early Sunday morning.

Joined the Bergherms to celebrate their boys' birthday at a bowling alley in Apopka.

Lining up her shot.

Lunchtime!

This was his finishing pose every time he rolled the ball down the ramp!

All three showing off their floating skills.

She reminds me of Björk!

Our friends joined us on Tuesday.  The kids had so much fun!

Braelyn doing her cannonball.

Maddy shows no fear of the water.

Making our returns.

Got both a/c units serviced, and the kids thought it was so great to see through the vents into the handler.

Following Daddy through Winter Garden Village.

Working on their future Picassos.

Spider girl?

Relax, it's just milk!

Helping Daddy with some plaster.

Future doctors?

Bluefin on Romaine with Broccoli and Cauliflower "rice".

Silly with their  new "pet" Hopper.

Have a great weekend!

Swimmingly

4 Years, 13 Weeks.

It's been a great week.  A busy week, but a great one.  The kids have wrapped up their 2nd week of swim lessons, and there has been great improvement with the twins, so much so that we have decided to sign them up for another 2 week session at the end of the month, at a different facility in Altamonte Springs.

Maddy has made strides in the pool this week, as compared to last, probably because I would leave the pool right after dropping them off, hence not giving herself an excuse to get out of the pool and complain to me, like last week.  So with me gone, it's forced her to stay and listen to the instructor, and gain confidence in her swimming ability.  Kohl has taken to swimming like a fish, and Brae continues to strengthen her stroke fundamentals and just enjoying time in the water.

Here are the pictures:

Sabbath afternoon storms.  We stayed in all day with the exception of going to church in the morning.

Sunday morning ride with Duncan.  Like my new bike?

Birthday party for Devin and Addison  at the Z's on Sunday.  Lined up for the slip 'n slide!

Enjoying their lunch on the pool deck.

The Cochran's celebrate Devin turning 2.

Singing Happy Birthday to Addison as she turned 2.

The kids loved the hanging out at the pool!

The twins with Mommy for supper at Chili's.

The other side of the table.

Kohl mastering floating on his back.

Maddy doing it too!

With her mermaid Ariel doll while wearing her mermaid swimsuit.
Now if she can only swim like one...

Just sitting in a chair with her legs crossed.  I just thought it was so cute.

At the Winter Garden Splash Pad on Tuesday with our friends.

This group knows how to have fun together!

The crew having lunch at Tijuana Flats.  12 kids to 3 adults.

The World Cup isn't over at our house!

This was actually a valid injury, as Brae had inadvertently kicked Kohl's leg while going for the ball,
unlike some of the professional soccer players who fake their injuries...

Holding hands together at Publix.

They were really affectionate with one another for some reason.
But I wish this happened more often.  *sigh*

Working on their colored water "science experiments."

Hung out with Uncle Mike at the Central Florida Table Tennis Club
for a few hours Wednesday night.

Enjoying her swim lessons, yeah!!

Calleigh and Aubs came by to do some water play on Thursday, which gave me a chance to mow the
lawn while they kept each other company.

Working on some learning exercises on Daddy's laptop.

Randoms:

Playing with a picture app, creating a quadruplet set of Kohls,

and Braelyns.

Summer storms everyday.  This one rolled in at 10 AM and cancelled our swim lessons on Wednesday.

Crazy afternoon clouds with serious lightning and thunder give way to

amazing sunsets in the evenings!

Food:

Tangie made whole roasted cauliflower for lunch on Sabbath!

Quotes:

  • I was doing some interior decorating in the living room:
Maddy:  "Why did you move the table to the other side of the chair?"
Me:  "Because I'm making room for a new pot I'm going to put right
                   there."
Maddy:  "Oh…so you're going to make our house look pretty again?"

  • Madelyn refers to a straw that doesn't work properly as a "grumpy straw."

  • I was cleaning out the butler pantry closet and Maddy spied her very first bike helmet and exclaimed excitedly, "Oh!  I haven't seen that new helmet in a few many years ago!!"

Have a great weekend!
